If COBRA does not apply to a particular group, can these sections be removed from the Wrap templates?

While Wrap360 uses permissive language in the COBRA section of our Wrap SPD for this reason, and explains that it applies to "most employers with 20 or more employees," this section can be removed if it is not applicable to a particular employer using Microsoft Word.  Is state continuation of coverage (mini-COBRA) addressed in the Wrap templates?

Our Wrap templates are designed to comply with federal law, as state-specific continuation of coverage requirements vary. Therefore, our Wrap SPD template covers state continuation of coverage in the following way, as shown below. If you choose to include your state's mini-COBRA laws, you run the risk of the laws changing and having an outdated SPD. If you wish, you can customize the documents in Microsoft Word or include a separate document that has your state's mini-COBRA requirements, but the wording below should generally suffice:

"Additional continuation rights may apply under state law. Please contact the Plan Administrator for further information."
